Arizona is nice and wooded in the north and nothing but desert in the south, so if you are looking to escape to the warmth of the desert from a cold February, this is the place to do it. The Grand Canyon is a must see if you are going to Arizona, you just shouldn't miss it while you are here. The Grand Canyon Railway offers a historic train tour through the historic Grand Canyon National Park. Each train is historic as well. They feature a fleet of antique engines, both steam and diesel. They also have coach and first class seating. They also have strolling musicians that will put you in the historic state of mind. Your train car might even be subject to an old-fashioned shootout and robbery. Not only do you see the spectacular Grand Canyon but beautiful scenery as well. They have special promotions running through the winter months.

Frank Lloyd Wright is one of the foremost architects that the country has ever seen. You can experience his creations first hand at Taliesin West in Scottsdale. The site was his personal home, studio and architectural school. Taliesin West was built "out of the desert" by Wright and his apprentices. They gathered rocks and sand to build the building. The compound sits on 600 acres in the Sonoran desert at the foothills of the McDowell Mountains. There are several tour options available that allow you to experience as much or as little as you want of Wright's desert creation. All tours guided and you will see the beauty of the work that was created in 1937.
